In 2014, Neo Futurist Collective, the artist group I founded in 2007, was invited to be part of a group exhibition at Seoul Museum of Art curated by John Reardon and Hyemin Son. The Growing Manual featured grassroots arts collectives from around the world, working at the intersection of art and activism. Each collective chose a text and a plant to exemplify its particular ideology.

I chose Japanese Knotweed, an extremely dangerous and virulent plant that can grow through concrete. I also submitted The Garden Manifesto as a manifesto of our aims and objectives.

This exhibition follows on from The Growing Manual catalogue published at the end of 2013. We are delighted to have been part of this project…
