I have just returned from a research trip to the Shetland Isles with ceramist J Kay Aplin. We have a residency booked at Scalloway Booth on the island next August and then an exhibition at Da Gadderie in Shetland Museum in April 2016 and so this was an opportunity for me to get to know the locality and also to meet some of the organisations we will be working with. The trip was generously funded by a-n’s new collaborations bursary.
