Yesterday’s opening at Shetland Museum & Archives was accompanied by the release of an album of binaural soundscapes taken from my joint exhibition with ceramist Kay Aplin, also entitled In A Shetland Landscape. The album is available as a free download from Portuguese net label Green Field Recordings (catalogue number GFR099) and comprises a set of diverse recordings gathered during my joint residency with Kay Aplin in the Shetland Isles in August 2015, including birds, coastal areas, country fairs and fishing expeditions. The sounds were all recorded binaurally, so please listen on a good set of headphones.

There is now a CD version of the album produced as a limited edition to accompany a sumptuous printed catalogue of the Landscape : Islands project, of which this work was a part. You can buy a copy here.
