Utopia(s)

Notions of Utopia have been a recurring theme of my work Revolution #10 and its spin-off A Peoples Manifesto. From its original genesis as a participatory public art project in partnership with the residents of Kensington & Chelsea on the Portobello Rd, to its presentation at the Houses of Parliament back in March, the work has consistently wrestled with the troubling subject of how to inscribe and facilitate hope.

Last July, An Other World at the V&A, presented as part of All of this belongs to you… took this investigation deeper, through a series of performative presentations in a symposium that explored the realm where politics and art meet.

Revolution #10 was presented additionally at CAPPE Utopias conference at University of Brighton on Sept 3rd 2015 and will be part of Activism in 2016 conference at University of Warwick on March 23rd 2016.
