Work finally started on recording the script(s) for the Audio Guides at Lewes Castle with local actors, Peter Faulkner, Belinda Chapman and Phil Rose (l to r). They are accompanied by my new partner-in-sound John The Dummy Head or “Kunst Kopf”. This new acquisition from Soundman replicates the human head and holds my binaural microphones safely in its ears, which frees me wearing them so I can monitor and direct the recording process and stop being a microphone. Users of binaural mics will know what I mean…

The results from these sessions are currently being worked on in the studio and combined with traditional narration, field recordings and music to produce the final piece of work.
