On December 1st in Dublin, A Manual for Rematerialisation will be launched at the Dublin Art Book Fair at Temple Bar Gallery at 4pm. The book is the result of the Time Travel seminar I was selected for earlier in the year and all of the contributing artists, designers and makers have made work in response to the Royal Hospital Kilmainham site in Dublin.
My text, Walk This Place has been conceived as a remote haunting of my research site at Killruddery in Bray, which is the focus of my practice-led PhD, Killruddery: Listening to the Archive. The text describes walking in one place, whilst imagining walking in another and is published as a sound piece on Soundcloud to accompany the book.
The text in the book is laid out so as to replicate the route of a soundwalk that I made at RHK/IMMA.
