SLEEPERTOWN is on tour again, this time for its first iteration outside of Ireland. SLEEPERTOWN is a series of sound interventions created by 15 international artists, composers and musicians. SLEEPERTOWN uses mobile technologies (Geo-Fencing) to create a parallel listening world, digitally accessible within the public sphere via personal mobile devices. Each unique Work is triggered by listener activity in 11 beautiful locations in Lazio, Italy.

My work Circa Regna Tonat is an evolving soundwalk about an idea of the storm – originally recorded and presented during the Covid-19 pandemic, it features a central poem by Sir Thomas Wyatt (1536) after he witnessed the beheading of Anne Boleyn, the reverberations of which thundered throughout the realm. Now, as we consider a very different world unfolding in the future, the stillness of Monte Semprevisa da Carpineto offers us a space in which to consider echoes of what has come before and what is yet to come…
