Mapping the Ancestors (2024)

On 4th April 2024, my new publication Mapping the Ancestors was launched in The Orangery at Killruddery House & Gardens in Bray, Ireland.

The A2 foldout map was designed to accompany The Ancestors a geo-located hauntological soundtrail installed at Killruddery, and created as part of my PhD research, ‘Killruddery: Listening to the Archive’. Its design and publication was supported and commissioned by curator Anne Mullee at Mermaid Arts Centre and designed  by the wonderful Or Studio. The map offers a physical interpretation of an intangible cultural heritage artwork and will serve as a legacy of the project after it is ended.

The Ancestors is open to the public until end of October 2024 and anyone with a copy of Mapping the Ancestors (which can be picked up from Mermaid Arts Centre) will gain free entry to the Killruddery estate up until 31st May.

Mapping the Ancestors (link to pdf) was created as a limited edition of 750.
